Initial View Tools

In this section of the Set Initial View feature, you can:

  • set the initial magnification
  • select the initial page layout
  • select bookmarks panel visibility

After you select the initial values you want to set for your PDF document click Set Initial View to add the appropriate actions on the selected changes list – click APPLY CHANGES to apply the changes to your PDF document.

Initial magnification

To set up the initial magnification value, follow these steps:

  1. In the Initial View Tools section, select the Magnification check box.
  2. On the right side of the Magnification check box, use the box that display the current magnification value (if any) to select one of the predefined values from the list or click that box and then enter a custom value (for example, enter 125 to set the initial magnification value to 125%).

Initial page layout

To select the initial page layout, follow these steps:

  1. In the Initial View Tools section, select the Page layout check box.
  2. On the right of the Page layout check box, click the box that displays the current page layout and then select another option from the list.

The available page options are:

  • Single page scrolling – a single page is displayed and you can smoothly scroll through the pages
  • Single page continuous – a single page is displayed and the scroll goes from one page to another when you have fully scrolled through the current page
  • Two page scrolling – two pages are displayed and you can smoothly scroll through the pages
  • Two page continuous two pages are displayed and the scroll goes from one set of pages to another when you have fully scrolled through the current set

Bookmarks panel visibility

If your PDF document has bookmarks, to select the initial visibility value of the bookmarks panel, follow these steps:

  1. In the Initial View Tools section, select the Bookmarks panel visibility check box.
  2. On the right of the Bookmarks panel visibility check box, click the box that displays the current visibility value and then select another option from the list: Visible or Not Visible.
